My wife looked on craigslist in march we were looking for a camper . There was a listing for a 2002 Keystone Springdale for 2,000.00. My wife e-mailed a kevin Coffman and he e-mailed back with a story that he was in the service and was being sent to Alaska the end of March. Said he was selling below market value as he need money for houseing in Alaska. He said that if we were intrested to send money to an E-bay certifield agent and that he would hold the money and he would get the camper to us, and if we liked it the E-bay agent would release the money to him, if not they would come and get the camper and refund our money. We used our bank card and sent the money he then e-mailed that he didn”t know it but we have to insure the camper to cross state lines 1445.00 and that the money would be refunded as soon as we got the camper. My wife then e-mailed him again and gave him our phone number and said call us, thats the lastwe heard from him. We got in touch with craigslist and they would do nothing. We informed our bank they will do nothing. We got in touch with Ebay and they said he lifted everthing off their page and made it look like them but infact was not. I contacted the office of the Attorney General and they sent me a form to fill out as it was fraud over the internent.Still pending. But listen to this craigslist also allowed him to place ad in Feburary for 1900.00 and after a coupla of days he reposted changed a coupla of words this time for 2100.00. Craigslist allowed this and they are allowing alot of us to get ripped off, something should be done to put a stop to this. I have told the police made out report gave them all the e-mails.Lets all put pressure on Craigslist to do what is right and not permit him or anyother to do this to us. If only we had checked into here, before almost the exact story as above, happened to us. Only a car that we hoped to give our granddaughter because her car thru a rod or something. My husband is a disabled vet and we used up the last of our saving acct. of $2000.00, and of course, there is NO car. How sad that there are people in the world who live off of trusting Christian people. I’ll bet they even go to these blogs to relive their glory over scamming people who trust in others. Our Lord said: “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

There is a posting on Craigslist to sell pug puppies saying he is from Houston Texas but when I called the number my phone said I was calling Florida. He has a oriental accents and said shipping is free just 300 for puppy. Also he claims to have a litter of pugs but when I asked to see the litter he did not he can only send a pic of a black one. Elizabethtown, Pa. My stepson seen a nice clean jeep on cl for 1500. He contacted the person and sent ( wrong thing to do) the money to the supposed jeep owner. Well, guess what , he got taken for the money. I live in Albuquerque , N M. I see cars n trucks for 1500 all the time. You can tell by looking at them their to good to be true.

Someone hs been posting false things about an apartment in Westchester County, NY. “BEWARE” is heading in craigslist ad and it gets re-post every other day, and the specific address is listed. Something about electric cost was $350/month and that landlord’s stealing electricity. Have spokek with owner of said property and learned a former tenant’s electric was turned off by the utility company for non-payment and then the tenant got evicted for non-payment of rent. Have flagged this posting a number of times, to no avail. Maybe craigslist should start a new category, “VENTING” ! Or maybe a category for “ANGRY PEOPLE”. That no one employed by craigslist is doing anything about these defamatory ads boggles my mind. I’ve stopped using craigslist for everything, whether buying or selling or giving away things for free.

We two realised early on that the women posing to be an army corp.at a base located in Belvior VA.Selling Toyota Camry is a total SCAM. I was able to locate her cell phone number and location. Right off the bat we figured a scam. She is now calling herself Pam Foster, and has others working the scam with her using Craig’s List as well as phony EBay documents That are very real looking.
Also here is the phony EBay customer service number regarding the Toyota Camry with Pam Foster. Someone with a middle eastern accent answers maybe everyone should call and give him a piece of your mind this number is NOT a legit EBay account number but the scam continues…..Everyone please be careful with online scams…..

The St. Louis Mo. monitor for CL wayne golliday is a republican operative and at one time was the honorary chairman of GW Bush financial committee for Missouri in 2004. I have had problems with him blocking my post on the political board in St. Louis Mo. I am a Democrat, I take it he’s still a republican. I have bought a home with this Company before. They are thiev’s and rapist of all including you CHILDREN and there futures. I was given an illegal laon by Wells Fargo and for two years tried to resolve the issue. An employee told me at one time to just to get out of the house another told me that there was nothing they would be willing to do to resolve the problem. Finally I was told that they had come to an aggreement with the government that would help me to keep my home, that was Forclosure. They were forced to pay restitution monies to the victims of thier crimes, but lied to the Court and it’s Court Apptointed overseer Company and never had to pay out any of the monies that were due to it’s victims.

Plus my husband got ripped off yesterday from a man and a woman in Indianapolis they sold him a Sony Car Stereo and it does not work the man left him a text stating he would five him his money back and my husband texted him plus called him with no answer to me that is stealing someone’s money. Plus people have been playing games about meeting and no show up and sold there items with the ad and the pics still on your site they won’t take it off. I get blocked every other day. I am a small business owner and consumer who just uses this to find materials, or stuff for sale that I need or to post ads for jobs, or to advertise like millions of others. I did some research on a person trying to sell vehicles on Craigslist (Atlanta-Columbus area) So far she has used 2 different emails, 2 different names, and 2 different vehicles. I too woke up this morning with my post flagged AND removed!!! The flagger left me a nasty email. I have tried all day to address this with Craigslist with no success. I reposted the post however they took THAT one down as well.
I will never use this company again. What a load of cowards to do business without providing ANY way to receive problem resolution except to read “pat” answers on a board. I have been in communication with craigslist billing support, and technical support and both departments are refusing to give me proper information as to why I am being charged for a posting that was removed. The posting was removed because support stated that there was a violation of terms of use. However, there was not violation of term of use. The posting was posted on the job section of craigslist. The posting presented open positions. Initially, after emailing support as to issuing me a refund because the ad has been removed, support replied stating that the ad is still up and was not removed so because of that, they will not issue the refund. After searching for the ad, I noticed that it was no where to be seen. I emailed support again and they just stated it is posted. Now, I am being told that it was not posted and that it was removed. I called and spoke with a Monica from Billing and she transferred me to Technical support. Monica stated that technical support will be able to give me additional information on what exactly was the violation. When I spoke with technical support, the representative was rude and refused to answer my question. She simply stated to email support to find out. However, I have emailed support multiple times without a proper response, if any at all. I then asked her to speak with her supervisor or manager and she stated to email him or her through support. I asked for a name of the supervisor and she just repeated herself. I then asked her for her name and she laughed and stated her name was “Cinderella”. I am not getting any information nor a proper answer to why I am being charged for a posting that was removed without valid or proper reasoning. The representatives seemed to be just robotically stating the same quoted statements, however when they are asked direct questions, they refuse to answer. They stated that all posts are non refundable, however, they have refunded me in the past and never explained anything aside from not doing this is the future. I have seen postings from other companies that have violated the terms of use for Craigslist, however, they were not removed. After posting an ad that I know did not violate the terms and then having it removed without proper reason, I am extremely bothered and disappointed with this business.

I am a CT Realtor and I have had someone take a listing that I have and placed an ad on craig’s list that the house is for rent. They write up this whole story on how they are missionaries and need to rent the home out they even go so far as putting the name of the owner as their own name. I have heard recently that many people are being scammed because they pay these people in advance and then move there thinking they will be renting out this home. I was hoping that your headquarters could block this person from making ads. But from reading most of these comments it does not look like you have the capacity or staff to do anything about this. If there is someone that I can report this to before someone gets scammed out of money for an ad that is placed on your site I would greatly appreciate the information.

My husband and I were just scammed out of $1500…The posting was not only in Dallas, Ft Worth, and East Texas but the ENTIRE state, as well as Baton Rouge, LA.. They have removed those posts but I see new posts, where tge year model has changed, that look VERY suspucious…Police told me to get the word out but I feel confident if I posted a warning you would either charge me for it or make me remove it…THAT is all wrong…I just created an account but WILL NEVER use it…Please remove…

I am trying to hire freight agents all over the country, including people with disabilities. My ads keep getting flagged in the sales business development. My deal is that just anyone can flag your ads??? This is ridiculous. Wonder why there are murders and rapes that stem from craigslist, everyone just does what they want, including flagging perfectly good ads that are there to help people. My competition can just go around flagging just because??? What kind of community have you built here? Get some structure now that you have income coming in for paid ads! STRUCTURE. I can go through and flag 1000 people just to flag them, what sense does this make? I would think you would want a stronger community then this. The problem with craigslist is some employees are bothering advertisers. Like for example, they will keep stalking you, they message and pretend to be just common person looking for ads or just simply bother you for fun. If you post an ad then the customer service will try to annoy you telling you your asking too much, or they will keep asking for pictures and etc then you get ip blocked if you realize that your actually talking to a staff trying to stalk you and make fun of you. It’s just full of rubbish. Craigslist blocks everyone without checking the problem.

I have been a customer of Craigslist for years and have an account as well but for some unexplained reason I have been blocked from accessing the site. I’ve never had a problem with Craigslist, never had an argument with another customer, so see no reason for my ip being blocked all of a sudden. I called on the phone but was told to solve the problem I had to access the site to correct the problem. I am a a loss to figure how to do that if I’m blocked out. Joe Morgan
It’s because people keep flagging your ads then CL will block your IP. People flagged for so many stupid reasons, like the competitors ads, if your selling something then the others will flagged you so that there’s less competitor for that item. Or if you post in meeting people they will flagged you because you are attractive and you will get more attention. Or people flagged because they don’t like your post, or they are also in competition with your post so they will open your ad and flagged it. All people can flagged your ads, then sometimes CL staff are also messing with your ad, like men trying to mess with women advertisers. staff of cl are assholes too, so they are stalking and harassing women.
My wife is being harassed from your website. Maybe if your ass gets sued for sexuality’s harassment maybe you will get a person to talk with and monitor this bull shit. You people are a joke your website is a joke
Hi, a suggestion we have like 10 companies that run about 1000 post a day for the sale of Appliance. Maybe if you charge at least $1 per per post they will not post so many of the same ads when I am looking for Appliance. It is very frustrating to have the same number over and over again. Flagging doesn’t work because they have various email addresses.
Please shut down the animal adoptions and rehoming…these animals are being used as “baitdogs” for the dog fighting rings. It can be any kind of pet…rabbits, cats and any kind of dog.
