I worked there up until closing and unfortunately there was a deadline to use gift card. If you have one unused as workers we were told the customers were out of luck.
I went to Sport Authority in Miami-Kendall to use my $100 gift cards and they told me they won’t take it. This an obligation from Sports Authority to their customers. Can somebody help from headquarters?
You tried to use your gift-card when they were no longer accepted. The deadline was June 27th, 2016 for all stores. Sports Authority was bought out by a handful of liquidation groups, so no sports authority gift cards or coupons were eligible for use. The store should have given you a website to file a claim, but there is no headquarters. There is no corporate. I wish some of you would understand that. The Sports Authority was bought out May 26th, 2016. After that, regular operations ceased to exist.
I went to the store in 441 in Wellington Florida, I want to buy three table but the manager tell me no, I don’t understand the store going out of business..he only let me buy two. Closing and you have limits? What that mind

I’m a current employee at Sports Authority. I’ve worked at 2 other places before here and I never knew a store or management could be run so poorly until I started at this store. My manager has referred me as a “bad girl” for having low loyalty and she constantly threatens the cashiers jobs if we don’t have over 40%. The managers all act as there top dogs and can get away with anything and apparently they can. I worked 12 hours straight on Saturday, we never get asked if we need a break and if we ask our managers they act as if it’s the end of the world for us to take A LEGAL PAID 15 MINUTE BREAK!!!! Also, my store doesn’t have one recycle bin in it not compound systems to break down the card board. Maybe the reason sports authority is going bankrupt is because people are sick of all the harm it’s causing the environment not that any of the higher ups would have care about that although that’s what a lot of consumers have comments on. I’m a college student at Regis, I’m studying to become a doctor and I thought this would be a good part time job for me while I went to school… I was so wrong.
Another unfairly terminated employee. It is ridiculous how you claim to care about your employees. I worked there for about 5 years and was let go with no warning written or otherwise. I also had multiple employees told specifically by corporate that “if they dont want to work here they can go work at mcdonalds” when complaining about unfair practices. It is no wonder you are going out of business and bankrupt when the people in charge, especially the DM’s, care more about their personal favorite “employees” aka friends rather than those that actually work in the stores and get everything done for them. Terrible company and lack of respect for every employee at the store level.
I met with you about 15 years ago and tried to explain to your cocky, stupid executive management that your product lines in certain sports were low quality garbage and your buyers didn’t know what they were doing.
I offered you a a strategy and solution now used by your competitors; and you are out of business. Thanks for shooting off your mouth to me…a young 22 year old who knew you were history 15 years ago.
I did not like the shopping experience at the Bronx location store #500 which is closing anyway .

I hope someone at Corporate gets a chance to read this…an employee in Bakersfield, California, who goes by the initials “J.T.” has done an outstanding job working with our family. Also, in the back of the store, there is a man named Ethan who has done an equally awesome job working with us. WAY beyond my expectations!!! Everything has been smooth and easy. Just wanted to pass this message along. Thanks Sports Authority for excellent service.
TSA is all a gimmick. Employees aren’t treated with respect. Instead they are treated as slaves. Very rarely a woman gets promoted at the store level. Therefore, women feel they are trapped. At the store level, the majority is men which is a horrible thing. District 5…..something in order to look into.
I shop at the SA on Mt. Vernon Rd in Sandy Springs, GA. You have an exceptional employee there (Candace) who is everything your company needs. She is phenomenal and displays tremendous customer service. While SA customer service is generally lacking, she is a super star.
Dont do business with sports authority they do not stand behind what they sell. I bought a bike and the extended service warranty, a few months later they closed that store down and are not in North Carolina at all. I have made several attempts to get my money back and all i keep getting is the run around. Today i was told that I would need to ship the item back to the store i bought it from and pay the shipping. How in the heck, do you ship a service and how can you ship it to a closed store. Then calling back and spoke to someone else and they said that I would have to call a store in SC and they would have to approve a refund. Why would i do that??? Why can corporate office not deal with this situation. When i call the store in SC they say you have to call corporate. NO OWNERSHIP. Does the CEO even know how his company is being ran. With customer service like this, no wonder they are having to close stores. My next action is an attorney and maybe the media.
I am a correction officer 19 years and find it to be very disrespectful that the police and fire department get a discount but corrections officer’s don’t and we do the same job just in the jails. We work just as hard model’s give us respect so I’ve told every corrections officer to boycott your store’s until we get the respect we deserve.
I know this is the wrong dept. please forward to whoever it may concern. I visited your store in gravois bluffs in Fenton MO 63026. I was helped by the store manager Dan. My daughter and I were there to buy some track shoes for her. We were asked by Dan if we had been helped and he continued on to help us decide which shoes would be right for her and the proper sizing. He was very patient even when she could not decide between pink or green. I have never wrote a email to any company about a employee before…but the service he provided us was above and beyond…I hope that this gets noticed Because there are very few employees like him left in retail..Thanks again. We ordered an air hockey at le from you for a Christmas gift for our boys. upon opening I noticed it was either used or extremely poor quality! I never put it together because it was a waste of time! We have called repeatedly to take this back and each time been given the run around. They told us to donate it to charity and we will reimburse your card!! No reimbursement has happened to date. I can see why no upper level management has an email associated with his profile. The customer service here is minimal at best!

I am trying to get a hold of someone in the corporate offices. Please just allow me to sharewith you a workout invention I have patent. I am just asking this company to take a look at what I have. I think this invention will revolutionize the workout world. I think Micheal Foster would be the person I would like to shar this with. I do have an animated webpage with the technical writing as to what the Workout Raft does. Its a great alternative to heavy equiptment and expensive workout weights.
